Although we are still enjoying the sunshine, curling season is just around the corner. To kick off the season, the Annual “Swing & Sweep” will be held on Saturday, September 26th. This day consists of a team of four, taking to the links between two short games of curling. The amount of points your team accumulates is then taken away from your “best ball” score. You may enter as a foursome, a couple or a single. If you don’t have a team, the organizers will do their best to fix you up with a team. The cost for this is $30 per person and includes supper.

The curling club is also offering a “Learn to Curl” night. This will take place on Friday, October 2nd from 7-9. It is a great opportunity to get out and learn the basics before the season starts.

There will be Junior Curling on Monday nights for ages 8 and up, Mixed curling on Tuesday nights, Ladies curling on Wednesday night as well as Mens curling on Thursday nights. If anyone is interested in starting a “shift league” or Seniors league during the day, the club would be happy to work with interested parties to facilitate this.

If any of this interests you, please call Dan or Kim @ 242-3530 (after 5:00) to sign up.
