The Schmirler Curling Classic kicked off today in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is a 5 pool round robin event. Eight teams will advance to the playoffs.

So far, 5 draws have been played. Leading pool A is team Campbell with a 2-0 record, while last year’s champion, team Kleibrink, and team Jenion have both won their first game for 1-0 records. In pool B, team Brown and team Lawton are leading with 2-0 records. In pool C, team Holland leads with a 2-0 record, while teams Scott and Spencer have won their only game for 1-0 records.

In pool D, team Rankin is in first with a 2-0 record, and there is a 4 way tie for second where teams Streifel, McVicar, Middaugh and McCormick all have 1-1 records. Pool E is the same, with team Harvey in front with a 1-0 record, and teams Eberle, Link, Englot and Wang in second with 1-1 records.
