Curling – Teams from Calgary and Red Deer will be wearing Alberta colours in the curling competition at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Calgary’s Michael Roy in the boys division and Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer in the girls division stole the winning points in an extra end in the provincial finals, which were staged at the Calgary Winter Club, to earn trips to Halifax for the Games, next Feb. 11 to 27.

The Roy team is rounded out by third Taylor Ardiel, second Geoff Nicholson and lead Mac Lenton, and is coached by Wayne Ardiel.

Peterman will be joined in Halifax by third Brittany Tran, second Rebecca Konschuh, lead Kristine Anderson and coach Nancy McInerney.
