BUDDING curlers will have the opportunity to take part in one of eight sessions that will be on offer at Dumfries Ice Bowl between next Monday and Wednesday.

Qualified coaches will be on hand during the hourly drop in sessions to make your first experience of curling as safe and enjoyable as possible.

All that is needed is some warm clothing, a clean pair of rubber soled footwear and the rink will provide the rest of the equipment.

One hour sessions run at the following times: Monday – 12pm, 1pm, 6pm and 7pm. Tuesday – 6pm and 7pm. Wednesday – 6pm and 7pm.

Curling is one of Scotland’s most successful sports having won gold medals at Olympic, World and European championships at both junior and senior level within the last six years.

It is also very much a friendly and sociable sport. People who attend the come and try session will quickly get going on the ice and have a great time.
